The world is changing faster and faster, and a quote from Alice in Wonderland is more relevant than ever:
"You have to run as hard as you
can to stay put."
To help you avoid the state of permanent FOMO, we have written a Glossary - a list of terms that will help you understand some terms from the world of phygital.team.
Phygital, derived from "physical" and "digital", describes the harmonious fusion of the physical and digital worlds. The term encompasses strategies aimed at combining offline and online experiences, creating hybrid, innovative solutions for consumers. In the context of business, "phygital" implies the integration of technology into the real space in order to improve customer interaction and enrich the user experience, while at the same time being accessible and convenient for a wide audience.
Understanding this concept makes it possible not to follow trends, but to be at the forefront of the development of the symbiosis of these worlds, to expand the boundaries of what is possible and to set new norms.
ASB
The concept of linking art, science, and business, which, alongside Augmented Intelligence, we believe can serve as a new framework for navigating a changing world. Following the ASB (Art-Science-Business) concept, we transition from the world of artistic ideas and fantasies to the world of scientific research, and then to the realm of business technical and economic metrics, thus fostering innovation. We are developing a new approach in the science of computer technology, 3DML, which is why we founded our own master's program and conduct visual research. As a small company, we develop our R&D direction and share a wealth of business insights at our own and other events.
A set of means and methods that ensure the maximum possible productivity of human intelligence; effective use of information technology to enhance human intelligence. We use this approach to solve everyday problems: artists, scientists, entrepreneurs and any other activities are already using this toolkit today. We improve our creative abilities by delegating routine and computational tasks to a more adapted computer. Man and machine interact together, complementing and expanding each other's abilities.
This is a new form of storytelling, which, with the help of technology (and others), creates a sense of full presence in the story. It is a kind of way of merging reality and feelings with history by placing us in another reality through the use of technology, where we are not just observers, but participants in events.
CGI (CG) Computer Generated Image
Is the art of creating visual images using computer technology. This concept allows you to move from artistic fantasies to visualisations applied in business to create exciting
and convincing communications.
AI (Artificial Intelligence)
It is a field of computer science concerned with the creation of systems capable of performing tasks that require human intelligence, such as learning, speech recognition, and decision-making. AI is driving innovation and opening up new opportunities to streamline processes and improve productivity in everything from medicine to finance.
Generative AI is a subclass of AI that is capable of creating new data, such as text, images, or sounds, based on trained models. This technology enables businesses to develop unique products and services, providing a competitive advantage and driving innovation.
This is a virtual universe that combines elements of augmented reality, virtual reality and the Internet, creating a common interactive digital environment. The metaverse is currently an unrealized concept, there are barriers to its emergence and exactly how it will look and work remains vague. Proto-metaverses already exist, for example, VR chat or Roblox.
This is the next stage in the evolution of the Internet, focused on decentralization, the use of blockchain technologies and smart contracts to ensure a more secure and transparent interaction of users with data and services. Unlike previous versions, Web 3.0 focuses on user ownership of data and the creation of a trusted environment without the need for intermediaries. This concept opens up new opportunities for innovation in areas such as fintech, identity management, and the digital economy. Web 3.0 promotes the development of new business models, increased security and privacy, and the creation of more inclusive and resilient digital ecosystems.
Are modern forms of communication that use digital technologies to create, distribute and consume content. Unlike traditional media such as television, radio, and print media, new media include websites, social media, blogs, podcasts, video hosting sites, and various interactive platforms. New media opens up new horizons for creativity and self-expression by offering interactive and multimedia forms of content that can include text, video, audio, graphics, and animation, as well as any physical objects and shapes imaginable.
It is a virtual copy of a physical object or system created using data collected in real time. This technology allows you to optimize processes, improve productivity and develop new products, driving innovation in various industries. In the case of characters, this means a character who potentially replicates a physical copy of himself, at least in appearance. Digital twins can exist both in the form of content and in the form of interactive forms, which can exist both
in an application and on a website or a physical stand.
BI (Business Intelligence)
Business intelligence is a set of techniques and technologies for collecting, analyzing, and visualizing data that helps you make informed business decisions. BI allows you to visualize data for reports and discussions within companies, for the prompt preparation of client and partner materials with up-to-date data. Contributes to the development of strategies that increase the efficiency and competitiveness of the company.
It is a product or service produced by one company and branded by another as its own. This business model allows companies to quickly innovate and expand their product offerings without having to develop from scratch.
AR и WebAR
Augmented Reality
It is a technology that overlays digital information on the real world, improving the perception of the environment. WebAR is a form of AR that can be accessed through web browsers without the need to install additional applications. These technologies enable businesses to create interactive and immersive user experiences.
This technology creates a fully immersive digital environment where users can interact with virtual objects and spaces. VR opens new opportunities for businesses in the fields of education, entertainment, and marketing. It is actively developing thanks to the widespread adoption of VR headsets among users. While it used to be a niche, museum-like experience, it is now becoming more commonplace and gaining popularity.
Spatial computing combines virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and mixed reality (MR) technologies to create integrated digital and physical interactions. These technologies allow businesses to develop new products
and services in new forms, the biggest challenge here is to come up with something that will benefit and reasonably use a new form of
storytelling in the form of mixed reality.
LLM (Large Language Model)
It is a type of artificial intelligence trained on huge amounts of text data to perform various language tasks, such as translation, text generation, and natural language understanding. LLM opens up new opportunities for automation, efficiency improvement and the development of innovative solutions in various industries. The main problem is "hallucinations", these are errors that are in the text. If this is not very critical for a text in the Fairy Tale genre, then when working with accurate data and nomenclature, it becomes unacceptable. By refining test modules and training more accurate models, it is possible to achieve accuracy results that exceed human ones. After all, people also make mistakes.
